Registration Overview

Buyer Registration Guidelines

Documents Needed:

  • 
Valid Driverís License, Passport or Government ID.

  • Tax Exemption Certificate or Dealer License (if applicable). Our auctions are open to the public; however, in order to be exempt from paying taxes at our auctions, we must have a copy of your Retail Sales License, Resale Certificate and/or Dealer License. We will not be able to remove sales tax from your invoice until we have a copy of your certificate/license.
  • International buyers are required to produce a Bill of Lading in order to be exempt from sales tax.

  • Bank Letter of Guarantee on bank letterhead.


    Sample Letter of Guarantee:
    Mr. (customer name) is a customer in good standing at our bank. We will guarantee the payment of check on this account (acct #) up to (specify amount) Dollars for purchase at your auction on (date of auction).



Bidding Requirements:


  • A bidder number & an auction catalog which is given to you at registration.

  • After completing the registration process, you are now ready to participate in the auction.



Payment Information:


  • Settlements should be paid in full on the day of auction.

  • We accept - cash, checks, money orders, certified checks or wire transfers.

  • We accept Visa and MasterCard with a convenience fee added.



Title Information:


  • Titles will be sent 14 days after payment is received, unless payment was cash or cash equivalent.

Disclosures
:

  • Announcements the day of the sale take precedence over all printed matter and advertising.

  • Buyer premiums are subject to change, please consult individual auction catalogs.

  • All items are sold As Is, Where Is. No warranties or guarantees - expressed or implied.

Standard Terms & Conditions

  • Inspection & Preview Days: Monday prior to the auction, through auction day.
  • Buyer's Premium: Varies per auction, please check specific auction terms and conditions.
  • All Major Credit Cards are accepted. There is an additional 3% fee.
  • All items must be removed by the date announced at the beginning of the auction.
  • Storage fees of $100/day per item could apply after this removal date.
  • Payment Procedures: Payment in full on auction day by cash, cashierís check or certified funds. If payment is made by personal or company check, you must have a current letter to Martin & Martin Auctioneers, Inc. guaranteeing payment of check.
